Scope

This policy explains how BeccaSecure Consulting Inc. collects, uses, discloses, retains and protects personal information through this website and related business communications.

The website currently does not use a contact form. If you contact BeccaSecure by email, the information you choose to send is handled as business contact information and used to respond to the inquiry.

Accountability and privacy contact

BeccaSecure has assigned responsibility for privacy questions to the Privacy Officer function.

Information collected

• Business contact information that you provide by email, such as name, organization, email address, phone number and message content.
• Security report information submitted under the vulnerability disclosure process.
• Technical and security logs generated by hosting, DNS, email and security providers, including IP address, request metadata, browser or device information, timestamps and security event data.
• Email metadata and communications needed to manage inquiries, proposals, service delivery and legal obligations.

Purposes

• Responding to inquiries and managing business relationships.
• Assessing potential advisory, security, governance, compliance or technology leadership engagements.
• Receiving and triaging vulnerability reports.
• Operating, securing, troubleshooting and improving the website.
• Maintaining business, security, tax, legal and compliance records.

Cookies, analytics and tracking

The website is designed as a static informational site and does not intentionally use advertising cookies or behavioural advertising tags. Cloudflare and other service providers may process technical data or set security related cookies where necessary to deliver, protect and monitor the site.

Disclosure and service providers

BeccaSecure may use trusted service providers for website hosting, DNS, security, email, productivity, file storage and professional services. These providers may process information in Canada, the United States or other jurisdictions where they or their subprocessors operate.

BeccaSecure does not sell personal information.

Retention

Personal information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to manage business records, to meet legal obligations, to resolve disputes or to support security investigations.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information held by BeccaSecure, subject to legal, security and recordkeeping limits. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the basis for processing, subject to legal or contractual restrictions.

Québec residents may also have rights under Québec private sector privacy law, including rights relating to access, correction, withdrawal of consent, de-indexing and data portability where applicable.

BeccaSecure will assess privacy risks when materially changing systems or practices that involve personal information, and will consider the sensitivity, purpose, amount, distribution and format of the information involved.

Safeguards

BeccaSecure uses administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including restricted access, secure email practices, DNS and web security controls and encrypted channels where appropriate.
